To Hear Your Banjo Play - A film made by Alan Lomax back in the 40's featuring the only footage of Woody Guthrie in his prime, playing with Brownie and Sonny, and a very young Pete Seeger explaining about banjo playing, etc. Check this out for sure. Yazoo Records - Excellent re-issue record company. Check out their "Before the Blues" and "Secret Museum of Mankind" series as well as their other great stuff. What Is Art? - This is an essay on aesthetics that Leo Tolstoy did back in the 1890's. Its great. I actually woudn't go as far as he does, but its still great.
